Randy Brown and Bryan Battle will clash in a pivotal matchup in the opening fight of the preliminary card at UFC 310.
Brown enters the octagon on a three-fight win streak, with eight victories in his last ten outings. He rattled off two victories earlier this year with a knockout win against Muslim Salikhov and a unanimous decision triumph against Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos in June.
On the other hand, Battle, coming off the best performance of his career, a second-round TKO win against Kevin Jousset in September, aims to make a name for himself in the welterweight ranks. However, he grabbed headlines for all the wrong reasons before the contest when he weighed in four pounds over the welterweight non-title limit (175 lbs).
Despite the weight miss, Brown remains focused on the fight. He’s not concerned about the financial penalty Battle will face, noting that professionalism is key. The fight has now shifted to a catchweight bout at 175 lbs. and promises to be an explosive encounter as both men look to cement their place in the division.
